Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Welcomes Cooperation with New UK Government

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed hope for cooperation with the new government of the United Kingdom after the early parliamentary elections.

The head of state announced this on the X network. He especially welcomed the Labour Party and its leader Keir Starmer on their convincing victory in the elections.

«Ukraine and the United Kingdom have always been and remain reliable allies. We will continue to defend and promote common values — life, freedom, and an international rules-based order,» emphasized Zelensky.

The head of state wished the new government success in domestic affairs and in strengthening the leadership of the United Kingdom on the world stage.

«I look forward to close cooperation on strengthening the Ukrainian-British partnership and restoring international peace and security,» added Zelensky.

The president also thanked his good friend Rishi Sunak for the continuous support from the government of the United Kingdom under his leadership.

«Challenger tanks, Storm Shadow missiles, training of our pilots on F-16s, and our first bilateral security agreement are just some of our joint achievements that Ukraine will never forget,» emphasized Zelensky.
