Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine praises Mykolaiv region’s preparation for upcoming heating season
During her visit to Mykolaiv, Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk commended the region for its successful preparations for the upcoming heating season of 2024-2025. She expressed her gratitude to the region for their systematic approach and timely implementation of necessary measures.
Vereshchuk stated, «We are confident that we will enter the heating season together with our partners qualitatively and without any problems. We are doing everything possible to avoid repeating past mistakes.» She noted that problems during the previous heating season were prevalent in most front-line territories due to delayed preparation.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of starting preparations early, stating that work began as early as May this year. She commended Mykolaiv region for their high level of readiness, which she described as the first time she has seen such a comprehensive level of preparedness.
Vereshchuk highlighted the specific life support plan for 2024-2025 for each region, which outlines necessary steps for successfully navigating the winter season. She personally witnessed the effective implementation of this plan in Mykolaiv region, praising the clear understanding of resilience centers, fuel reserves, and other essential resources such as food, medicine, and water.
