The restoration of wooden flooring in Arcadia

The repair works on the damaged wooden flooring in Arcadia have begun following the winter storms that caused significant damage to this popular beach area.

According to reports, a team of twenty workers is currently on site, dismantling the old boards. It was discovered that the concrete base had been eroded by the storms, resulting in large holes under the wooden covering.

Cyclists and electric scooter users have faced difficulties navigating this section of the Health Track due to the damaged tiled surface caused by sea water.

The head of the work group stated that approximately 700 square meters of wooden flooring, around 80 meters of the promenade, are set to be replaced. All repair works are expected to be completed within two weeks.
