War veterans and their relatives with disabilities can study for free at driving schools in the Lviv region

The press service of the Lviv Regional Military Administration has announced the opportunity for war veterans and their families suffering from musculoskeletal disorders to undergo free training at driving schools. The 11-week course includes 64 hours of theory and 40 hours of practice.

Application Process

By the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decree of June 21, 2017, No. 432, the right to receive this service is granted to war veterans, their families, family members of deceased veterans and Defenders of Ukraine, as well as participants injured during the Revolution of Dignity and military personnel. Those willing to undergo training should apply to the social welfare agency with the necessary documents, including copies of their passport, a medical certificate of fitness to drive a vehicle, and other documents confirming their status and right to education.

Funding and Compensation

The social welfare agency enters into a contract with the veteran and the selected driving school, and then compensates the cost of education from the state budget.
