Ukraine dismisses Russia’s accusations of planning sabotage of hydraulic facilities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Rejects Russia’s Accusations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine categorically rejected Russia’s accusations of attempting to undermine the dam of the Kyiv hydroelectric power station and the Kaniv reservoir. The department stated that these allegations are absurd and have no basis in reality.

«Ukraine has no motives to destroy its own infrastructure or create threats to its citizens. The Russian regime has already demonstrated its ability to commit war crimes, as evidenced by the recent strike on the children’s hospital «Okhmatdyt» in Kyiv,» emphasized the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The department also called on the international community to be vigilant of Russia’s actions and warned that in case of any criminal acts against Ukrainian infrastructure, the responsibility will solely lie with Russia.

It is worth noting that the situation with the safety of hydro facilities in Ukraine remains tense after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in June 2023, which was considered the largest man-made crime in Europe in recent decades.

«Moscow accused Kyiv of this barbaric act, accompanying its accusations with an active disinformation campaign, although the facts speak against it,» added the department.
