Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine meets with US Secretary of State

Today, April 18, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, met with the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken, on the sidelines of the G7 ministerial summit in Capri. The main topic of discussion was the provision of additional Patriot systems to Ukraine.

Gratitude for Assistance Provided

During the meeting, Kuleba expressed gratitude to our partners for the assistance provided, in particular, for the recent decisions to allocate additional American Patriot air defense missile systems. He emphasized the importance of the United States in ensuring Ukraine’s air defense system and the need to stop the enemy’s air terror.

Global Efforts for More Patriot Systems

«The parties discussed joint global efforts to quickly provide Ukraine with more Patriot air defense systems and missiles for them,» the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes. Both ministers highlighted the importance of the US Congress adopting an additional aid package for Ukraine, signaling strength and confidence and improving the situation on the battlefield.

Work Continues for Air Defense

«On the sidelines of the ministerial summit, systematic work continues to ensure that our allies provide Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems as soon as possible,» Kuleba emphasized. «The key element in this is the consistent and regular supply of air defense assets.»
