Tragic Accident in Stryi District
On Monday, July 8, a serious accident on the road in the Stryi district resulted in the death of a 57-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Polo. The police of Lviv region provided this information.
The incident occurred around 16:00 in the village of Mezhybrody, where a MAN truck, driven by a 54-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk region, collided with the Volkswagen Polo. The driver of the Volkswagen sustained serious injuries and was taken to the resuscitation unit of Skole Central Hospital, but unfortunately, he passed away at the scene.
Law enforcement authorities have launched a criminal case over the violation of traffic rules. The truck driver could face three to eight years in prison and a three-year suspension of the right to drive vehicles. An investigation is currently underway to determine all the details of the tragic accident.
