A Terrible Incident in Panyutino
A terrible incident took place on June 14 in the village of Panyutino in Lozovaya district. According to the prosecutor’s office, a 53-year-old man, who had divorced his wife, was arrested on suspicion of killing his wife’s new partner.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred in May of this year, when the suspect attacked his rival with a knife, injuring him and threatening his life. In the night of June 14, he broke into the house of his ex-wife, who had already moved in with her new husband. The perpetrator entered through a window, attacked the man in his room, and dealt him a fatal stab to the chest, after which he immediately fled the scene.
The woman called for an ambulance, but the injured man died during the operation in the hospital.
Legal Consequences
The suspect was arrested a few hours after the crime. He is in custody awaiting trial on charges of intentional homicide, which carries a sentence of 7 to 15 years in prison according to Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
