A tornado hits Heze city in Shandong province, causing casualties and destruction

A tornado struck part of Heze city in Shandong province on Friday afternoon, affecting 88 people and resulting in five deaths, according to reports from Xinhua.

Authorities reported that the tornado damaged 2,820 houses, 48 power lines, and over 4,000 hectares of crops. State media confirmed that communication, electricity, and water supply have since been restored.

China Weather News stated that tornadoes are common in southern and coastal provinces like Guangdong and Jiangsu, as indicated by the China Meteorological Administration.
