Spain is preparing a new package of military assistance for Ukraine, which includes, among other things, the supply of another batch of Leopard tanks. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Spain, Margarita Robles, during the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the «Ramstein» format, reports UNN.
Delivery Expected by the End of June
According to her, the delivery is expected to take place at the end of June. In addition, Robles noted the efforts of her country in providing assistance to Ukraine, particularly in the training of Ukrainian military personnel.
New Military Support
It should be noted that the new military support, in addition to Leopard tanks, will include ammunition, such as 155 mm caliber, a new batch of anti-aircraft missiles for the «Patriot» air defense system, anti-drone systems, optoelectronic surveillance systems, and more.
Bilateral Security Agreement
Furthermore, it is expected that Spain and Ukraine will sign a bilateral security agreement.
