84% of Shelters in Ukraine Meet Standards
At the moment, over 84% of shelters in Ukraine fully comply with established standards. This was reported by the acting head of the State Emergency Service (SES) Andriy Danyk during a meeting of the security commission at the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the leadership of the head of the MIA Igor Klymenko.
Regular Inspections and Improvements
«Every quarter, a joint commission from the SES of Ukraine and state authorities inspects shelters. Work is also actively being done to increase the number of modular shelters,» Danyk noted.
Priority on Civil Defense
The head of the SES also talked about how inspections of shelters are carried out and the situation with shelters at the frontlines. Klymenko emphasized that civil defense remains a priority for the MIA, especially in light of the ongoing war and shelling of civilian and critical infrastructure.
