Police in the Khust district, together with the cyber police, have exposed a scam carried out by a 66-year-old man in Transcarpathia. This man deceived his mother and the wife of a serviceman, extracting over 220,000 hryvnias from them. He now faces up to 5 years in prison for fraud committed during a state of war. The man came up with a scheme involving a fake story about selling a car in order to extort money from his victims.
