Real Betis shows interest in Inter Milan’s Vitao
Inter Milan’s center-back Vitao, whose contract with Shakhtar Donetsk technically runs until June 30, has attracted interest from Spanish club Real Betis.
It has been reported that Sevilla-based club was willing to pay €9 million for the Brazilian defender, but Internacional rejected the offer. The Porto Alegre club is aiming to get a much higher fee for Vitao in the future.
Earlier, it was reported that Vitao signed a preliminary five-year contract with Internacional. The deal will officially come into effect on July 1 of this year, once his contract with Shakhtar expires.
After the start of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, Vitao left Shakhtar Donetsk in accordance with Annex 7 of FIFA’s regulations.
