Former coach Anthony Joshua, Angel Fernandez believes that the chances of the WBA, WBO, IBO, and IBF heavyweight champion have increased after the British boxer sustained an injury.
«Fury is a naturally gifted fighter, that cannot be denied, but I believe Usyk will win. Alexander has a great, very smart team, they will prepare him properly. I think it will not be as easy for Fury as it may seem on screen to take on Usyk, to fight against him, to press him with all his weight, to beat him with the jab.
It is obvious that Usyk’s team will take into account Fury’s cuts, and they will try to target that specific area in order to open it up again. I believe Tyson does not have enough time for such cuts to heal.
Perhaps Usyk will build his tactics focusing on working precisely on that area. If I were in his place, I would do the same. After all, a fight is a fight, and you always try to find the opponent’s weaknesses and exploit them to win,» Fernandez said in a comment to talkSPORT Boxing.
Recall, the Usyk — Fury fight was supposed to take place on February 17, but Fury sustained a cut during training. As a result, the fight was postponed to May 18.
