The First Mental Health Center Opens in Lviv
The first Mental Health Center in the Lviv region has officially opened its doors, located within the Stryi Municipal United Hospital. This important milestone was announced by Maxim Kozitsky, head of the Lviv Regional Administration.
With an investment of approximately 6 million hryvnias, the Center was established through a combination of funds from the local budget of the Stryi community and the hospital’s own resources. Equipped to provide care for up to 40 inpatients, the Center also offers outpatient services and operates with a mobile multidisciplinary team.
Pioneering Mental Health Programs in Lviv Region
In a groundbreaking move, Lviv region has become the first in Ukraine to approve a Comprehensive Program for the protection of mental health and psychosocial support for the civilian population. This initiative is a significant step towards promoting mental wellbeing and ensuring access to quality mental health services for all residents of the region.
