Microsoft Introduces New ARM-Based Surface Laptops

Microsoft has introduced new ARM-based Surface laptops with Snapdragon X Elite chip instead of the traditional Intel Core Ultra, hoping to compete with Apple’s MacBook, The Verge reports.

Various Configurations Available

The new Surface models are available in various configurations, including a base model with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD with Snapdragon X Plus chip, with memory expandable up to 1TB SSD and 32GB of RAM. The laptops are equipped with Qualcomm Adreno graphics processor and come in four colors: black, platinum, sand, and sapphire.

Touch-Sensitive Displays

The laptop displays are touch-sensitive with a resolution of 2304 x 1536 (13.8 inches) or 2496 x 1664 (15 inches), supporting refresh rates of up to 120Hz and Dolby Vision IQ. The laptops have updated designs with smaller bezels and rounded corners, two USB-C ports, one USB-A 3.1 port, a 1080p camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for fast charging up to 65W.

Chargers Included

Chargers are included in the package for the 15-inch version (65W) and 39W for the 13.8-inch version.
