Military Lawyer Taras Borovsky Highlights Financial Motivation for Joining Armed Forces
Military lawyer Taras Borovsky has important observations regarding what motivates many citizens to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, the key factor is the financial situation.
«In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, you can now earn decent money, mostly by working in the military,» Borovsky emphasized.
He stated that the economic situation in the country is currently quite difficult, so the income from the service significantly influences the decisions of many individuals. «Everything revolves around the war — it is a magnet around which many processes revolve. People are somehow drawn in — either they serve, or they engage in the production or import of weapons,» he added.
Changes in Legislation for Ukrainian Conscripts
It is worth mentioning that after the recent changes in legislation, Ukrainian conscripts can now receive a military ticket at the local administrative service center, not at the territorial recruitment center as before. For this, all military registration data of a citizen must be entered or updated in the «Obereg» registry.
Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the President’s Office, also expressed his opinion on restrictions for employees of Territorial Recruitment Centers regarding the overcrowding of men in minibuses. He emphasized that the employees of the TRCs should perform their work and use tools that are acceptable to them.
