Exciting News from Kiev Zoo!
Significant changes in the lives of birds are being observed at the Kiev Zoo. They have been relocated to a new, newly renovated area — wetland habitats, where all conditions have been created for their comfortable stay.
In particular, the following species have moved to the summer oasis: scarlet and sacred ibises, little egret, Eurasian spoonbill, northern pintail, sultan tit, Carolina duck, red-breasted goose, griffon vulture, and common pochard.
The total area of the aviary is over 150 sq. meters, with a height of 5 meters. Natural bedding made of mixed soil, river sand, peat, and wood has been arranged. An artificial fountain and pond have been installed, the shores of which are adorned with grasses, shrubs, and ivy. Shelters, nesting places, and nesting platforms have been created.
The good news is that you can meet the colorful residents of the wetland aviary in the lower part of the Kiev Zoo park.
