The EU Council Extends Sanctions Against Iran
The EU Council has decided to extend restrictive measures against Iran for another year, citing its military support of Russia’s aggressive actions in Ukraine and armed groups in the Middle East. The sanctions will remain in place until July 27, 2025, targeting 12 individuals and nine organizations with asset freezes and travel bans to EU countries.
