The documentary film «20 Days in Mariupol» by Mstislav Chernov is now available for viewing on Ukrainian streaming services. This was reported by the Ukrainian film distribution company Arthouse Traffic.

The film can now be watched on platforms such as Sweet.TV, Megogo, «Kyivstar TV», Takflix, and Volia TV. Additionally, the company previously announced that the film is available on platforms such as Amazon, AppleTV, Google Play Movies, Vudu, and Microsoft.

In Theaters

Since March 14, the film has been re-screened in cinemas, and it is currently being shown in some theaters across the country.

Academy Award Winner

The film «20 Days in Mariupol» received the Academy Award from the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for Best Documentary Film. This is the first Ukrainian film to receive an Oscar.

About the Film

The film depicts the first weeks of fighting in Mariupol, Donetsk region, during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The film was directed and filmed by Mstislav Chernov, photographed by Yevhen Maloletka, and produced by journalist Vasilisa Stepanenko. They were the last journalists to cover the beginning of the destruction of Mariupol by Russia — for this, all three received the Pulitzer Prize.

Success at the Box Office

The film became the most profitable documentary film in Ukraine last year, earning 500,000 hryvnias in just the first weekend of release.
