State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) has uncovered an organized criminal group that was involved in selling drugs among inmates at the Gorodishchenskaya Corrective Colony No. 96 in Rivne region. According to the DBR press service, this group consisted of two inmates and an inspector from the institution’s security department.
Police found that one of the participants in the scheme had connections through which he received narcotic substances. The inspector, in turn, brought drugs into the colony, where the inmates sold them among their fellow prisoners. They were involved in trading amphetamines, cannabis, and PVP salts.
At the moment, the inspector who was part of the scheme has been dismissed from his position and no longer works in law enforcement agencies. It is noted that he was previously found guilty of receiving bribes from inmates, and was sentenced to five years in prison. Currently, he is in custody.
