Mayor of Dnipro, Boris Filatov, announced on Telegram the consequences of the night shelling by «Shaheds», who attacked the city.
«Due to the night shelling, we are forced to evacuate one of the hospitals, disconnect heating systems, and evacuate a significant number of palliative patients,» he noted.
Schools also have to be closed. «Because the temperature is expected to drop, and the system won’t be able to sustain,» he added.
Attack on Dnipro
Spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, during a telethon, stated that today in Dnipro «it was hot.» «The air defense worked the most precisely in this region. The enemy tried to strike, and unfortunately, there are certain damages, objects of the fuel and energy sector, which the enemy often attacks,» he added.
Ignat mentioned that 16 out of 23 «kamikaze» drones were shot down. «Frontline regions are currently being attacked more often, and Dnipro is a region close to the front line. Therefore, the percentage of hitting such targets as the Shahed type UAV may be lower. There is nothing surprising here. When the Shaheds fly further into the country, they are eliminated on the way,» he said.
