Ukraine Returns 13 Children from Temporarily Occupied Territories
Ukraine has returned 13 children from the temporarily occupied territories (TOT). This was reported by the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, on Thursday, May 23.
He noted that seven children returned from TOT together with their families. Six more children were returned within the framework of the approved action plan of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA.
«The children have already been welcomed on their native land and all the horrors for them are behind,» Yermak said.
He added that all families have already visited the Center for the Protection of Children’s Rights, where they told their stories to the competent authorities.
On May 3, the authorized representative of the Verkhovna Rada for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, stated that Russian occupiers had begun forming lists of children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in order to deport them to Russia.
