Illegal Cultivation of Hemp Uncovered in Povorska Community
In the backyard of a resident of the village of Pisochne in the Povorska community, law enforcement officers uncovered an illegal cultivation of hemp. 86 plants were confiscated from the 23-year-old man. The incident has led to the initiation of a criminal case under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Cultivation of hemp).
The confiscated plants have been sent for examination to the Volyn Scientific and Research Expert-Criminalistic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. If the crime is proven, the offender could face up to seven years in prison.
