In the Donetsk Region, SBU Detains Arms Traffickers
In the Donetsk region, the Security Service of Ukraine has detained four residents of Dnipropetrovsk region who were engaged in the trade of weapons that were being smuggled from areas near the front line. This was reported by the SBU in Telegram.
«Security Service officers caught the suspects ‘red-handed’ during the sale of two rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades RPG-22,» the report said.
According to the SBU, during searches of the suspects’ premises, a stockpile of grenades, Kalashnikov rifles, and grenade launchers were seized.
The detainees have been charged with illegal trafficking of weapons, ammunition, or explosives under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
