Nizhyn District Police Thwart Attempted Attack with TNT
Nizhyn district police officers, together with the explosive ordnance disposal service, thwarted the plans of an aggressively minded citizen who had 2.4 kg of TNT in his possession. The man planned to blow up a building with people inside, including small children.
After a call to the «102» emergency line from a citizen in the town of Bakhmach in the Nizhyn district, the police promptly arrived at the scene and arrested the perpetrator. Upon inspection, it was found that he had 12 TNT firecrackers weighing 200 grams each in his possession. The perpetrator was taken to a temporary detention center, and the origin of the explosives is being investigated.
