Czech Republic shortens free housing term for refugees

The Czech government shortens free housing period for refugees

The Czech government has announced that starting from September 1st, the period of providing free housing to refugees will be shortened to 90 days. This decision will apply to all categories of refugees, including vulnerable groups such as children, teenagers, students, people with disabilities, and others.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has also stated that as of August 1st, the amount of humanitarian aid for housing for refugees will change, with an increase in maximum expenditure amounts. These changes aim to better manage resources and support a more efficient distribution of assistance to those in need.
