Two Women Suspected of Theft in Ternopil
Authorities in Ternopil are investigating two women who may be responsible for a string of thefts in local stores. The suspects allegedly stole various items by concealing them in their clothing or bags and bypassing the checkout counters.
Police have recorded three instances of theft, with the stolen goods totaling around 4000 hryvnias. One of the suspects, a 64-year-old woman, has a history of similar offenses, while the other, aged 42, is being accused of theft for the first time.
An investigation has been launched under Article 185 Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which deals with theft during wartime and carries a penalty of five to eight years in prison. Law enforcement officials are currently conducting inquiries into the case.
