Lviv Weather: Repairing Buildings Will Cost 2 Million UAH

Damage caused by the storm in Lviv

During the storm on Saturday, June 22, three residential buildings in Lviv were damaged, requiring an estimated 2 million hryvnias for restoration. Orest Tymchyshyn, director of the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, confirmed the extent of the damage.

Efforts to restore the affected areas

Following the storm, municipal services took immediate action to prevent further damage from leaking roofs in the Galician and Shevchenko districts. An operational headquarters was established to coordinate the restoration efforts, with funds allocated for necessary repairs.

Cleanup and recovery operations

Over 100 fallen trees were reported in Lviv, with efforts underway to clear roads and public spaces. Additionally, more than 400 settlements in the Lviv region were left without electricity, impacting various communities. Work continues to clean debris, remove garbage, and restore power to affected areas.
