Ukrainian Armed Forces to Receive Artillery Ammunition from Czech Republic
Ukrainian Armed Forces are expecting to receive a new batch of artillery ammunition from the Czech Republic as part of the «Czech initiative.» This assistance will include from 50 to 100 thousand units of shells per month, as announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky.
The first information about the «Czech initiative» came in February 2024 from the President of the Czech Republic. The government of the country is preparing to transfer 800 thousand artillery shells of caliber 122 mm and 155 mm to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is expected that by the end of this year, Ukraine will receive approximately 1.5 million ammunition, allowing artillerymen to have about 71 thousand rounds of ammunition per month.
