Exposing corruption: facilitating exam cheating for money

Corruption Case Uncovered in Kyiv

Under the leadership of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, a case has been uncovered where a man, using his connections, attempted to help with passing practical exams for obtaining driver’s licenses for a fee. He has been informed of suspicion of corruption, which carries a penalty of up to 5 years in prison under Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The suspect, who has connections in one of the territorial service centers of the capital’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, offered assistance in passing the practical exam for obtaining a driver’s license of category «C» for 10,000 hryvnias. He was arrested while receiving the money. An investigation is also underway regarding the employees of the service center who were involved in this violation of the law.
