Car Accident on Mykola Sumtsov Street
Yesterday evening, patrol officers received a report of a car accident on Mykola Sumtsov Street. At the scene, the applicant reported that the driver of a VAZ car, failing to maintain a safe distance, hit his BMW vehicle and then continued driving. The applicant followed him, caught up with him, and immediately reported the incident to the 102 hotline.
During the documentation of the accident, patrol officers found out that the 54-year-old driver of the VAZ car did not have registration documents for the vehicle. The man also had a temporary restriction on his driving rights imposed by the court. Additionally, the driver showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol.
The driver underwent an alcohol intoxication test at the scene. The Dräger device recorded a positive result of 2.08 permille. The man disagreed with the result. However, he categorically refused to undergo further testing at a healthcare facility.
Patrol officers drew up 5 administrative reports against the VAZ driver.
