A little boy from Synelnykove in Dnipropetrovsk region found himself alone after a rocket attack by Russian military on April 19, reported the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council Mykola Lukashuk.
The tragic loss of his family
«The little 6-year-old boy was left alone, his entire family perished. His mother, grandmother, 14-year-old older sister, and 8-year-old brother were killed today by a Russian rocket in Synelnykove. His father passed away a year ago,» he wrote.
The boy’s condition and support
According to him, the child is currently in the regional hospital. He sustained shrapnel injuries to the jaw, burns, and a concussion. Doctors have stabilized the boy’s condition. His life is no longer in danger, assured Lukashuk. «We will help with everything that is needed. The boy still has his father’s side of the family. They have already been notified. It is the boy’s close aunt, and she will be taking care of him,» added the official.
Russian rocket attack on Dnipropetrovsk region
During the night of April 19, Russian occupiers attacked Dnipropetrovsk region with rockets. The city of Dnipro was also under fire. As a result of the strike, a five-story building was partially destroyed, and a fire broke out. Seven people died in the region, as well as three in Dnipro. The 6-year-old boy from Synelnykove district, who was considered dead, survived.
Visit of Ukrainian President Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Dnipro, where he was briefed on the eight casualties as a result of the Russian rocket attack on the region. As noted in a statement on the head of state’s website, Zelensky visited the five-story building damaged in the overnight mass rocket shelling in Dnipro.
