Public transport reappears in Zolochiv community
Public transport has reappeared in the Zolochiv community of the Kharkiv region. A new bus route is being launched to the village of Odnorobivka, just one kilometer from the Russian border, according to «Suspilne».
As the head of the Zolochiv village council, Viktor Kovalenko, explained, after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, public transport in the community was not functioning. However, in March 2024, the humanitarian mission «Proliska» helped to restore social transportation. Currently, six new routes have been organized, covering eight villages. The bus will run to the border with Russia, which is about 17 km from Zolochiv itself.
Maria Dremluga, a resident of the community living in Kalynove, shared that previously she had to walk 20 km or use hitchhiking and taxis, which was much more expensive.
