Nibulon successfully relocates part of its fleet to the Danube
LLC «Nibulon», one of Ukraine’s top agricultural companies, recently moved part of its fleet from Mykolaiv to the Danube, according to the «Center for Transport Strategies».
The company opted to transport the ships over land on large automotive crews instead of using the waterway. The relocation took place at the new branch «Bessarabska» in the port of Izmail.
Four tugboats and two loading-unloading machines were successfully transported in this manner. However, a significant part of Nibulon’s fleet still remains in Mykolaiv.
It was noted that the river fleet left in Ukrainian-controlled waters cannot be utilized by its owners. This includes ships upstream of the Dnieper River (above the Kakhovka HPP) as well as those in Mykolaiv and Ochakiv.
